The DECK international meetup event was held on 19th September.
We The DECK is holding international meetup event once a month to connect various kinds of people to connect local people and people from overseas.
On Thursday, September 19, 2024, we hosted the event themed Full Moon Mochi Feast which is a kind of seasonal event called otsukimi (お月見 or moon viewing)
On the day of the event, we prepared delicious tsukimi dango (dumplings for moon viewing).
Eating tsukimi dango is said to bring health and happiness.
This is a culture that is unfamiliar to people from overseas, and everyone was very interested in it. It was also a new experience for attendees to see a rabbit when they think of tsukimi. Many people jumped in on the day of the event. Attendees were from Hong Kong, Australia, Sweden, etc. And from this time, we prepared a deep fryer to serve hot meal. Freshly fried potato fries and dumplings were very tasty.
